Living History

Tuesdays-Saturdays, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Gathering of Marines

May 1 -2, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (each day)

Step back in time, as re-enactors present the Manuals of Arms of the French de la Marines. There will be firepower demonstrations, using cannons and muskets, as well as cooking and sewing demonstrations. For more information, call 888.677.7853 toll free or 357.3101 locally.

 

Birds and Bees and the Flowers and the Trees

May 9, 10:00 am to Noon

This program is designed using the Red River, Cane River Lake, and the site’s wetlands as a classroom setting. All outdoor programs are subject to weather permitting. For more information call 888.677.7853 toll free or 357.3101 locally.

 

The French Marine Hawk

May 23, 10:00 am to Noon

Come learn the ways of French marines and French colonist in the 18th century. All outdoor programs are subject to weather permitting. This is a hands-on workshop, with a $6 fee in addition to the entrance fee. For more information call 888.677.7853 or 357.3101 locally.

 

Colonial Lecture Series
